I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Professional Coach, Inspirational Professional Speaker and a Christian. I have been living in Surprise and attending Radiant church since 1999. I have helped set up several ministries within the church. I am a member of the church and have been a Christian since 1995.

I have helped people since 1987 in the areas of Mental Health, Mental Retardation, Severe Mental Illness, Physical Disabilities and Welfare-to-Work programs. I have been a Career Counselor since 1995 and have also counseled people with financial problems.

I am willing to counsel a variety of concerns, schedule speaking and training sessions and I am available as a coach. A person doing well but wanting to achieve something more is not in need of a therapist but will benefit from having a coach.

My Counseling orientation is Cognitive-Behavioral and Brief Solution-Focused. Cognitive is focusing on what a person thinks and why. Behavioral deals with a person’s actions and what motivates the actions. Brief counseling is preferable to solve the problem in a few sessions (if possible) to avoid long-term counseling. Counselors empower people to change by first helping them change the way they think which in turn helps them to change their behavior.

I received my B.S degree in Psychology from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania and my Master's in Counseling from the University of Phoenix. I completed “Caring for People God’s way” from the American Association of Christian Counselors to enhance my ability to provide Christian counseling. I received a certificate of completion for finishing the 30 lessons.

I have been a resident of Surprise since 1999. My wife and I are passionate about living here with our children and our desire is to see our community grow and be healthy.
